Subject: Red Rocks 6/18/04 "BBBBrrrrrr"
First let me update the opening acts for the run. Warren solo acoutic the first 2 nights, Robert Hunter the last 3. A cold front moved thru the front range on the off day that would continue into 6/18. Let me say that I thought this set I was killer. I thought thay found that good groove. Music to open "Go Bob", H C Sunshine, Cumberland, nice Tomorrow Never Knows led to a sweet Minglewood>Charlie with nice slide work between Warren and Bobby. Bobby gave us a nice Eyes and I walked out during the Liberty. Now I've never walked out on GD, Rat, P&F, but this was something else. The temp started dipping during Hunter, turned to rain/ freezing rain with a temp around 40. I would have to say 1/2 the audiance joined me. It was time to get to the car and dry clothes or I was going down. Unfortunately my rain gear top's zipper broke that night, bad timing I would say. So I'll leave the set II to a brave soul who stuck it out. Worst concert conditions I've ever seen in 25+ years, WOW. And Bobby wore shorts thru it all.

Notes

Craziest weather I've ever recorded through im my life.
